Canadian Federation of University Women:

CFUW is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization of close to 10,000 women university graduates, students and Associate Members in 112 Clubs across Canada that works to improve the status of women and human rights, education, social justice, and peace. CFUW holds special consultative status with the United Nations (ECOSOC) and belongs to the Education committee of the Canadian Sub-Commission to UNESCO. CFUW is the largest of the 61 affiliates of the International Federation of University Women (IFUW) see www.ifuw.org

The 112 member Clubs have local programs, interest groups and study groups. Most Clubs raise funds locally to support scholarships for women and girls as well as other community based projects. Members also raise money to support the CFUW/FCFDU Charitable Trust fund, which enables CFUW to fulfill its education mandate through its national Fellowships and Awards Program for post-graduate education.

CFUW International Relations

The international work of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) centres on the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), the United Nations, the Canadian Government’s international issues, and arising global issues.
